The Opening Ceremony of 2013 Light Night & ULC Award Drew to a Successful Close

Xu Huai addressed that Light Night has been held for 9 years ,we sincerely hope that honorable figures in the lighting industry can come together every year with city lighting administrators ,designers, engineers,company representatives are willing to build a high-end platform for communication.

The Opening Ceremony of 2013 Light Night &the ULC Award was launched in Guangzhou on June 10,which was organized by CIES and AALD, co-organized by Yangguang Media and GCEL and greatly supported by Osram.

Following the honor of the past eight years, the 9th Light Night injected new vitality like the opening ceremony of ULC Award. At the ceremony,Xu Huai, president of CIES,and members of AALD,and Uno Lai,general coordinator of IALD in greater China region,and Gong Haijie,deputy Secretary General of Guangzhou municipal government,and Wu Shengbo,the president of GM Asia-Pacific were invited to make a speech.

Wang Jinsui,Gong Haijie and Ma Bin pushed the rod together at the opening ceremony, declaring the launch of the ULC Award which is organized by Yang Guang Lighting Service Co.,Ltd..The government representatives from Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing,Nanjing and more than two hundred honorable guests in lighting industry witnessed this important moment at the ceremony.

Xu Huai mentioned that it’s the first national award for government in China and has become very popular in Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou, Tianjin,Chongqing,Nanjing.The ULC Award issued in different city each year,which was aimed to reward the best initiatives in sustainable urban lighting development solution submitted by each city,advocated the ideas of green,innovation,environmental protection and energy-saving,promoted the sustainable urban lighting development.

Many honorable guests attended the night light including Mr.Cui Kai,president of the China Architecture Design Institute,and Mr.Wu Shuoxian,president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ,and Mr. Alexandre Colombani ,General Manager of LUCI, and Mr. David Becker, representative of IALD, Zhao Honghong ,Rong Haolei,Lin Yandan,Yan Ronghong,Shi Hengzhao and other representatives of AALD,Mr.Kaoru Mende,President of LPA, and Li Tienan,director of Architectural Optics Research Department of China Academy of Building Research,OSRAM,Star Alliance,WEEB DECO,Shanxi Tianhe Lighting,Shenzhen goldlamp lighting Co.,Ltd. ,AD Lighting,Artemide,OPtiled,Guangzhou Keatoo Electric Co., Ltd ,Guangdong Shone Lighting Co.,Ltd.

Light Night has become one of the important activities of lighting industry in June every year,aimed at building a platform for honorable figures in the lighting industry and gathering them together to share opinion and ideas.Cui Kai, President of the China Architecture Design Institute highly appraised of this activity before the cocktail party and expressed thanks to YGLS for its commitment to set up such platform.Shi Hengzhao , General Manager of J+B Studios Architecture Lighting ,also said that just like the old saying goes “he who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a real man”,he who doesn't attend the light night has not been to the lighting exhibition.
