Members Information
AALD website provides a searchable directory of members, which is available to landscape designers, architects, interior designers, and urban lighting managers, owners to search a partner. The website will also link with member private website link, members can upload their background introduction and latest project information, and the search system will be proceeded according to catalogues/ member grades and location.

Professional Identification

All AALD members may identify themselves as members of the AALD in accordance with the specific guidelines outlined in the Membership Criteria and Guidelines. Professional members are allowed to use the AALD initials after their names as a sign of the highest professional standards.

Quality Standard of Design
The AALD is working to improve lighting quality through the development of simulation models of lighting comfort and effectiveness that will form the basis of research and the establishment of minimum quality for design. The AALD also has close cooperation relationship with China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES), China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), and Energy Conservation Service Industry Committee of China Energy Conservation Association and other industry association.

Business Standards & Regulations
The AALD provides members with service-oriented information related to contracts, specification formats and professional business standards. Standard Contractual Forms of Agreement have been developed to acknowledge the lighting designer as a responsible member of the design team by separating lighting design services from those of the engineering and architectural disciplines.

Public Promotion
Members will benefits from a variety of industry events and media spread programs, which will draw the attention of designer field and targeted groups who focus on the industry development. Via different promotion approaches, the Association will fully realize member interests and create reputational spotlight.

Professional Development & Further Education
Trainings, lectures and interactive workshops on topics of interest to the professional lighting designer are offered to enhance members' design and management skills. These workshops are offered annually on a regional basis.

Asian Lighting Awards
To recognize lighting installations that illustrate the synergy of architectural and lighting design by displaying high aesthetic achievement backed by technical expertise. Projects from around Asia have been recognized for their design excellence and the program has greatly increased recognition of quality lighting.

Interactive Opportunity
All members are invited to participate in regional activities, which provide a forum for members to meet informally and discuss topics of interest, to keep up to date on AALD activities and goals, to discuss current industry, design, products and technologies trends and to provide educational programs.

Project Recommendation
The AALD will recommend members to be involved in lighting design for large-scaled projects invested by local government, city investment group, real-estate developers in different cities.

Free Subscriptions
AALD members receive free subscriptions to the appointed publications by the association, reduced subscription prices are available for other publications.

Students Support & Internship Program
Finding new staff is a critical factor in growth of design businesses and college programs are the best source for new lighting designers. The AALD plays a key role in developing interest in lighting design in college. The AALD provides guest faculty and materials to architecture, engineering and design programs in college and university. Meanwhile, through the AALD internship program, qualified students have the opportunity to learn about architectural lighting design while working with a professional design firm, and AALD member firms have access to talented assistants.

Energy-saving Program
The AALD is actively involved in monitoring and influencing energy standards throughout Asia. These efforts involve urban projects invested by government, public education, consultation to code-writing authorities and regulatory agencies, and participation in projects related to lighting quality and lighting energy.

Lighting Expo & Event
The AALD actively participates in several lighting trade fairs around the world., including Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition in China, Frankfurt light+building Exhibition in Germany, LIGHTFAIR International in the United States, Tokyo Lighting Exhibition in Japan, Korea Lighting exhibition.
