The 2015 China Lighting Award-Urban Lighting Construction Award (Kunming Section)

According to the news that reported by Yangguang Media and sent back from Kunming, the 2015 China Lighting Award-Urban Lighting Construction Award (Kunming Section) which was hosted by China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES), Asian Association of Lighting Designer (AALD) and China Association of Lighting Integrators (CLIA) dropped the curtain in Kunming on March 7th. .The Vice Chairman of CIES Mr. Liu Shiping, the Secretary of CIES Mr. Dou Linping, the Executive Director of AALD and the consultant chief engineer of Huadong Architectural Design and Research Institute Mr. Li Guobin, the General Manager of Yangguang Media Mr. Ma Bin and numerous big names from the illuminating industry and relative Government Officials attended the Career talk, and the meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Li Guobin and Mr. Liu Shiping.

As the New Year’s first station of the Urban Lighting Construction Award series Career talk, this meeting intended to promoted and deepen the understanding of the Award among Kunming and the lighting industry participants around the city, made them to take an active part in the Award and to promote the local urban lighting achievements. In addition, this meeting was also a cooperative activity of the ‘2015 International Light Year’.

Set off the first little upsurge of the Award
n this meeting, the Urban Lighting Construction Award has attracted the conventioneers with keen interests. Firstly, Mr. Liu Shiping explained the origins, applicant requirements and applicant materials of the Award in details. Meanwhile, he also introduced the applicant procedure of the award which is divided into six parts- Notification, Qualification examination, First trial, Expert review, Internet publicity and Final decision of the committee.

According to the report, the application deadline of the 2015 China Lighting Award-Urban Lighting Construction Award was April 30th 2015, and expected to enter the review section in June. Thus, all the awards will be out in September.

Focusing the new development of Lighting
Thie Career talk invited the relative officials of the Kunming Urban Lighting Constriction and the principals of the local lighting projects. Mr. Luo Xiongtao, the Engineer of the Kunming Urban Lighting Control Center give an warm welcome to everybody for being the guests of Chuncheng at the beginning, than he introduced the operations and lighting construct experiences of the center.

The Kunming Aegean Sea Shopping Mall was the inspect project of this Career talk, the project owners, designers, constructors and suppliers described the project respectively. Mr. Zhu Chuanwu, the vice general manger of Kunming Redstar Commerce introduced the project’s profile. Besides, he pointed out the project has contributed more than thirty thousands of footfalls during the week days and up to fifty thousand over the weekend which can well reflected the attraction of the project’s footfall, sales and clients, and takes the lead in promoting the urbanization level of the surrounding area.

Mr. Wang Zhen, the Executive Director of Shanghai LEOX Design Partnership share detailed the characters of the project from a design perspective, which including ‘the tenderness of jade’, the continuous flow and colourful Yunnan.

The project construction was the significant bridge between serving the owners and reflecting the designer’s ideas. As the construction side of this project, Tianjin Huacai Electron Science & Technology Engineering Co.,Ltd excellent completed the mission. During the meeting, the designer Mr. Zhang Shuqing introduced the luminaire installation and debugging of the project from the construction aspect, also provided the information about BUS control system and DMX512 control system that adopted in the project.

As the Supplier of this project, Roled Opto Electronics (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd guaranteed the high quality of the project. At the meeting, the Chairman of Roled Opto, Mr. Xiong Kecang specially mentioned the achievement of ‘Full-service create unparalled product’ was benefited from the Roled team’s spirit of innovation and overcame difficulties.

In addition, other participate designers shared their known new domestic and foreign lighting design technology and ideas, and explained their vision of the lighting industry’s future development. Mr. Zheng Jianwei, the General Lighting Designer of Lighting Studio of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD) mentioned the new concept of ‘Lighting new-media city’ in the speech of the Lighting new-media city, and elaborated this concept with the Water Cube and the Expo Axis Sun Valley New-media Operation Platform. Aiming at the topic of urban lighting construction, he also mentioned the future development direction of urban night view have to pay attention to the artistry, interactivity and sustainability.
