The China-Netherlands City Nightscape Lighting Exchange Meeting was held
On the morning of 11 June, “The China-Netherlands City Nightscape Lighting Exchange Meeting” was successfully held by the Guangzhou Lighting Development Manage Center and Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD), and organized by YGLS.
Wang Xingbing, the researcher of Guangzhou Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Bureau Urban Environmental Construction Management Office; Wang Yang, vice-director of Guangzhou Lighting Development Manage Center; Qiu Yurong, chief engineer of Guangzhou Lighting Development Manage Center; Guo Jingyi, minister of comprehensive department; Wang Jie, vice-minister of technical department; Albert Deltour, representative of Amsterdam Lighting Festival, manager of Light art collection(LAC); Monique Knapen, international exchange senior adviser of Amsterdam Lighting Festival, head of China-Netherlands Cultural Exchange Project China Connector; Chen Yunwei, business officer of Dutch Consulate General in Guangzhou; Yan Yonghong, professor and tutor of Architectural City Planning College in Chongqing University, president of AALD; Ma Bin, secretary general of AALD; Zhu QI, founder of Poe Company; Wu Wuxian, director and creative manager of RuiFeng and 20 others attended the meeting, which was chaired by Ma Bin.

At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Xingbing sincerely welcomed the arrival of guests from Netherlands. When talking about the lighting achievements in Guangzhou, he pointed out:” Guangzhou attaches great importance to exchanges with other countries, and held the annual meeting of the International Lighting City Association in 2013; from 2014 to 2018, Guangzhou International Lighting Festival had extensive and in-depth exchanges with Lyon Lighting Festival in France and Sydney Lighting Festival in Australia; At the Guangzhou Asian Food Festival in 2019, theme lighting music show and theme animation video which rich in Japanese, Indian, Korean and other regional cultural characteristics, strongly promotes the communication and exchanges about lighting development and management between Guangzhou and other countries all over the world.
Mr Albert Deltour
Similarly, Amsterdam has made remarkable achievements in lighting. As one of the world's eight major lighting festivals, Amsterdam Light Festival attracts a large number of lighting and art lovers every year. Mr Albert Deltour said that:” In 2017, the Amsterdam Lighting Festival received more than 700 ideas, and only a few dozen were screened for exhibition. We have retained these excellent works and planned a 17 foreign cities tour, at the same time, we will fit different urban cultures and convey different feelings to the audience.”
Ms Yan Yonghong
Recent years, influenced by different degrees at home and abroad, a great upsurge of lighting art has arisen in Colleges and universities,such as lighting art installation—Wormhole by Miss Yan Yonghong and professor of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and contemporary artists Mr Zhong Biao.At the same time, Miss Yan wonderfully shared this project case at the meeting.

In the final part of the exchange, both of Guangzhou and Amsterdam expressed the hope that they would continue to keep good relationship with each other and seek more exchanges and cooperation in the future.
