Dr. Yang Xiu, national first-level registered architect and national first-level registered lighting designer, graduated from the Department of Architecture at Tongji University, under the guidance of Professor Hao Luoxi. He is mainly engaged in research and engineering practice in the fields of architectural and urban lighting environment and visual efficacy. He currently serves as an expert in the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Expert Database, a member of the Expert Committee of the China Illumination Society, a member of the Expert Committee of the Shanghai Illumination Society, a member of the Expert Committee of the Shenzhen Illumination Society, and a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers.

In the field of scientific research, he has presided over and participated in more than 10 research projects; in the field of lighting design, he has insisted on and advocated the design concept of "architectural lighting" for many years. He attempts to take project positioning and use requirements as the导向， treat architectural space as the most important expression object, and complete the atmosphere shaping of the place through the insertion of innovative points. He has presided over and participated in more than 100 lighting design projects, covering urban lighting renewal, building floodlighting, landscape lighting, indoor lighting, and lamp design. His completed projects have won more than 50 lighting design awards at home and abroad, including the China Illumination Award, Shanghai Baiyu Lan Illumination Design Award, Asian Lighting Design Award, International Association of Lighting Designers IALD AWARDS, North American Illumination Engineering Society IES AWARDS, American International Design Award IDA, A’ Design Award, MUSE International Creative Award, etc., which has been recognized by peers at home and abroad.
