The 20th Light Night and Asian Lighting Design Awards Ceremony Shines Brilliantly
On June 8, 2025, the "20th Lighting Night and Asian Lighting Design Awards Ceremony" hosted by the Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD) and organized by Yangon Media was held in Guangzhou. The grand occasion of that night attracted much attention. As of press time, the number of people who followed the live album has exceeded 430,000, with unprecedented popularity.
The Light Night has long been renowned in the industry and is considered a "standard activity" for elite figures in China's lighting industry to participate in the Guangzhou International Lighting Fair. Themed "360°+AI", this event deeply integrates AI technology with the field of lighting, which is also a continuation and deepening of the theme of "Dancing with AI" in 2024, highlighting the determination of the lighting industry to constantly explore and move forward with the help of technology.

During the event, Yan Yonghong, President of AALD, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Chongqing University, Lai Yulong, Executive Director of AALD and Coordinator of IALD Greater China, Ma Bin, Secretary General of AALD, Executive Director of China Lighting Development and Founder of Yangguang Media, delivered speeches and shared their insights.
The most anticipated award of the evening, the 10th Asian Lighting Design Awards, was announced, covering four major categories: "Light of Asia", "Extraordinary Light", "Excellent Light", and "Special Light", aiming to recognize projects that are outstanding in technology, artistic innovation, and green sustainability. Among them, the Dongliang International Lighting Design Center won the highest honor of "Light of Asia" for its project of the Holy Sound Auditorium on the north bank of Ana'a, highlighting the rise of Asian original design power.
On the evening of the event, the "AIGC Workstation", led by AALD and jointly created by "Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts & Dongliang International Lighting Design Joint Training Graduate Demonstration Base" and China Lighting Intelligence, was officially launched. The workstation focuses on the deep integration of four core elements: AALD's industry insight, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts' academic genes, Dongliang International's project practice, and China Lighting Intelligence's AIGC application technology.
During the celebration after the award ceremony, representatives of Lingyan Technology, Wu Yinhui, General Manager of Shenzhen Henglong, Zeng Han, General Manager of Liangmei Ji, Tan Zemin, former Second-level Inspector of Shanghai Greening and City Appearance Administration, Ding Qinhua, Director of Shenzhen City Appearance and Landscape Affairs Center, Wu Chunhai, Secretary-General of AALD, Ma Bin, Chairman of AALD, Yan Yonghong, Second-level Researcher of Guangzhou Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Wang Xingbing, Chairman of Xinglong Photoelectric, Lu Yinghui, Chairman of Xinlong Photoelectric, and Huang Changli, Chairman of Baolian Deng Group, jointly took the stage to raise their glasses and toast.
