Education Background:
Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture from Tsinghua University. Graduated with a Master's degree from the Department of Architecture, Tsinghua University in 1982, and started working at the Department of Architecture, South China University of Technology.
As a visiting scholar, received the Sino-British Friendship Scholarship to study at the School of Architecture, Birmingham City University, UK.

Teaching/Research:
Main research areas include regional urban (town) planning and urban design theory.

Project Cases/Awards:
1. The teaching and research project "Establishment of a Talent Cultivation Model with Lingnan Characteristics in Architecture" won the first prize for Excellent Teaching Achievement in Guangdong Province in 1996 and the second prize for National Excellent Teaching Achievement in 1997.
2. Named one of the "Top Ten Architects with Influential Designs in China's Real Estate Sector" in 2003 by the Ministry of Construction Science and Technology Committee, China Real Estate and Housing Research Association, and China Construction News.
3. Recognized as one of the "Top Ten Public Building Designers with Influence in China" in January 2006 by the Global Real Estate Institute (GRI), the Ministry of Construction Science and Technology Committee, the China Real Estate Association Development Committee, and China Construction News.
4. Foshan Municipal Government: Rongshan Middle School campus planning and design of the main teaching building and gymnasium. The project won the first prize for Excellent Design in Foshan City and the third prize for Excellent Design in Guangdong Province (1993, collaborated).
5. Planning and design of the Student Activity Center (Siyuan Study) at Hainan University, which received the second prize for Excellent Engineering Survey and Design in Hainan Province (2013, collaborated).
