AALD Salon in Shanghai in a Warm Atmosphere,Building a Platform for Lighting Designers’communication in East China

On July 11,26 professional lighting designers in East China took time from their busy schedules to attend the AALD salon in Shanghai.At 9:00pm,the salon almost comes to an end after two hours,but the guests had not given full expression of their views yet.

The guest told the media that we still discuss and communicate for a long time after the meeting.Everyone takes part in the discussion actively and tries all out to build a platform for communication. What’s more,as an new and rising design industry in China, lighting design is flourishing while at the same time it also face the problems of lack of power and talents.Hence, it is essential and urgent to build a platform for communication like AALD.Through this platform,designers can come together,make advancement together and feel a sense of belonging.

So AALD is registered in June 2011 in Hong Kong under this circumstances. And many activities have been organized in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou,so as to offer a chance for lighting designers to come together and learn from each other,advance the development and recognition of professional lighting designers.

Ma Bin,Secretary-General of AALD and moderator,said that we will organize different activities aimed at landscape designers,architects, and clients in order to strengthen their communication.He also expressed that it’s not only beneficial to cultivate excellent lighting designers but also let designers know themselves better and improve their status and influence.

Eastern China designers Wang Zhen,Wang Jianping,Cheng Yi,Li Changwei,Chu Xingwu from Shanghai and Li Xiangyang,Chen Qiang from Shenzhen and Ou Yang Huixian from Hangzhou,Bai Wei from Xuzhou all attended the salon.They had a deep discussion focusing on building a platform for the communication of Eastern China’s lighting designers and improving the status and influence of designers and also cultivating professional lighting designers and so on.This Symposium,which host is Dr.Chen Xihao and Ma Bin general secretary of AALD, is organized by Guangzhou Yang Guang Lighting Services Co.,Ltd.and supported by Asian Lighting.
