About Urban Lighting Construction Awards

The background of the ULC

CLA was set up by China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES) and it is the only award which approved by National Office for Science & Technology Award in Chinese Lighting area. In 2013, CLA add one more awards which is called ULC. It aims to praise the innovation success of the government when making the construction on urban lighting.

The meaning of the awards
UCL is holding the idea of connecting development concept in Urban Lighting Construction and keeps the spirit of green,health,innovation,energy saving. The ULC not only helps the cities to improve their effects and their frame, but also creates a good chance for the citizens to sense the conception of sustainable development. What’s more, it can help the city to stand on the top of the era when it faces to several difficulties, and also builds up a city character in a saving-energy way.

The ceremony of second ULC had been held in Wuhan in November 2014.
