Topic:Thinking about sustainable stadium lighting design
Abstract:In the "aspect of place", the landscape lighting of modern sports stadiums changes not only the “functional meaning” producing sport activities, but also the identity of urban night view, so that it might have many strengths such as newly increasing the economic feasibility and establishing the identity.
Based on such facts, the nightscape lighting design plays a very important role in many elements.
In order to develop a new lighting design suitable for architectural design, it would be necessary to have diverse case studies for drawing/analyzing the contents necessary for lighting design as essential references.
Especially, the contents necessary for the design development process should be established in the form of process in the aspect of concept and function, by classifying and arranging the design matters and contents necessary for the landscape lighting design.

Light--Thinking on Space
Three lecturers will share their opinions in an intense debate, hoping to stimulate the audiences to re-recognize and reflect on the development of the industry.
Abstract:
Light is the soul of space. Without light, space cannot be existing. This discussion will start from two aspects:
1.The importance of light in space. Light creates the contrast of light and the saturation of color, sets off the atmosphere of space and strengthens the connotation of space.
2. The medium function of light. Human play the most important role in space, and light as a medium, could make a conversation between human and space, and create the positive or negative light language environment.

Topic:Technical Innovation in Light Art, a disruption or strengthening emotion?
Abstract:Technical innovation and light can both create emotion as also disruption.
Obviously, there is a connection.
So, what’s their connection and what’s than the connection with our Light Art Collection?
About 8 years ago Amsterdam Light Festival and its subsidiary Light Art Collection started to preserve the artworks specifically developed for the Amsterdam Light Festival.
We did so not only based on sustainability but also to give the artworks as well as the artists a worldwide stage. Nowadays we travel the artworks all over the world.
Started with traveling some individual light art pieces, we grew into a global organization supporting complete festivals all over the world with a collection of over more than a 100 “Amsterdam Exclusives” and several other exceptional Light Art Works.
The international art pieces we have in our collection are very diverse in shape, technical innovation and meaning. They can convey beauty alone but also disrupt and make you wonder. Our light objects bring value to a place. They draw new crowds, connects people, create emotions and … brings light in the darkness.

Topic:Main Points of Lightscape
Abstract:Main Points of Lightscape takes the lead in putting forward the concept of lightscape and elaborating the necessity of establishing lightscape. It introduces some typical and representative lightscape cases at home and abroad, and expounds the main points and possible research topics of lightscape. Lightscape refers to the landscape which is mainly composed of light source, shadow and their changes. As a special aspect of visual landscape, the lightscape can be divided into natural lightscape, artificial lightscape, and lightscape integrating both natural and artificial ones. Natural lightscape refers to the lightscape mainly formed by the natural light sources in a certain environment. Natural light sources include sunlight, moonlight, starlight, aurora, fluorescence and phosphorescence. Artificial lightscape refers to the lightscape formed mainly by artificial light sources in a certain environment. The lightscape with both natural and artificial ones refers to the lightscape formed by the above-mentioned light sources in a composite environment with both natural and artificial features. The lightscape is a multidisciplinary-integrated subject. Its relationship with architectural lighting is similar to that between soundscape and architectural acoustics. It examines the relationship between light environment, lightscape, human and society from a broader perspective. It is not only related to traditional architectural lighting, but also to architecture, urban and rural planning and landscape architecture. Meanwhile, it has something to do with optics, sociology, environmental psychology, history and folklore.
