 Qilu Course Launch! The 5th AIGC Lighting Design Workshop Public Class is Here.

 

 

From September 9th to 10th, 2024, the 5th AIGC Lighting Design Workshop Public Class, organized by AALD, was successfully held at the Shandong University of Art and Design. This workshop was an integral part of the "Environmental Lighting Design" course offered by the School of Architecture and Landscape Design at Shandong University of Art and Design. AALD played a leading role in the industry and utilized its resource advantages to assist in the design, preparation, and implementation of the course.

From September 9th to 10th, 2024, the 5th AIGC Lighting Design Workshop Public Class was held at the Shandong University of Art and Design. The Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD) was invited to participate in the event. Wang Xiao, the Technical Director and Mentor of the AIGC Lighting Design Workshop, attended the school in person, bringing the students a two-day exciting course.

Authoritative Sharing & Professional Lecturing
 
During the course, Mentor Wang Xiao explained traditional key points and introduced cutting-edge technologies, including large language models, image diffusion, and controllable image models. Through diverse teaching methods, he helped students grasp the essence of design and cutting-edge technologies.

Song Lei, the Shandong Coordinator of AALD, a senior member, and the founder of Shandong Sandi Lighting Design Research Institute, as well as Niu Xiaofei, the General Manager of Shandong Industrial Light Magic, are both outstanding alumni of previous AIGC Lighting Workshops. They brought back the cutting-edge AI lighting design concepts and technical essence to Shandong, interacting with the students as industry experts.

To create an immersive learning experience for the students, the workshop adopted a combination of offline and online methods, allowing students from all over the country to participate together and interact.

Award Ceremony

 

Shandong University of Art and Design officially awarded Mentor Wang Xiao the honorary title of Visiting Professor during this event. This title is not only a high recognition and affirmation of his professional abilities but also highlights his outstanding talent and profound strength in the field of AIGC.
