Applications for the 10th Asian Lighting Design Awards 2025 are now open
The Asian Lighting Design Awards, hosted by the Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD), were established in 2015 against the backdrop of the United Nations "International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies" (hereinafter referred to as the International Year of Light), with the support of the International Year of Light Committee. It is one of the most authoritative and influential awards in the field of lighting design in Asia, representing excellence and innovation in the lighting industry.
The award aims to recognize projects that demonstrate innovative thinking and artistic value in the field of lighting design, thereby promoting the development of the lighting industry. Furthermore, it advocates for the integration of green and low-carbon principles, as well as sustainable development concepts, in design to win praise from end-users.
In 2025, the Asian Lighting Design Awards will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Professor Yan Yonghong, Chair of AALD and Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Chongqing University, said, "These ten years have not only witnessed the development of the lighting design industry but also served as a stage for the brilliant display of the wisdom and inspiration of countless designers. With its unique perspective and stringent standards, the Asian Lighting Design Awards have not only recognized outstanding design works but also inspired profound reflections on light environment aesthetics both within and outside the industry. In the future, we look forward to lighting design continuing to lead the path of green, intelligent, and human-centered sustainable development, telling stories with light and shaping spaces through light."
