The Second Forum on "The Value of Light" is Held in Linyi

On December 19, the "Second Forum on 'The Value of Light'—Light and Human Settlement Environment Design & Lecture Series on Upgrading the Quality of the National Lighting Consumer Market" was held in Linyi, Shandong Province. The forum was hosted by the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), with co-organization by the CALI's Market Circulation and Service Professional Committee, the CALI's Talent Training Working Committee, and the CALI's Landscape Lighting Professional Committee.

Focusing on the theme of "Light and Human Settlement Environment Design," the forum invited over ten industry experts for special topic exchanges. Delegates shared new concepts and introduced new technologies from four perspectives: light and health, light and space, light and design, and light and new technologies. They collectively explored new measures and approaches for upgrading the quality of the domestic lighting market, creating a new platform to better guide consumers in understanding the value of light.

Wang Xuhua, advisor to the China Association of Lighting Industry, stated in his speech that China's economy is currently stable and improving, with expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption becoming national priorities. Relevant implementation plans jointly issued by six ministries and commissions have pointed the way forward for the lighting industry. He emphasized that expanding lighting consumption requires balancing quantity and quality, integrating products into human settlements, commercial spaces, and urban public areas through scientific and professional light design, which can enhance spatial quality and unleash consumption potential.

Wang Zhuo, Secretary-General of the China Association of Lighting Industry, delivered a keynote speech titled "Enhancing the Value of Light and Strengthening the Adaptability of Supply and Demand in Lighting Consumption." By interpreting a series of recent national policy documents, she pointed out the need to lead industrial upgrading through consumption upgrading, better meet diversified demands with high-quality supply, actively support enterprises in expanding the supply of distinctive and high-quality consumer goods, and accelerate the construction of a high-quality domestic demand market while stabilizing the export market.

Ma Bin, Secretary-General of the Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD), shared insights titled "Old Deng and Young Deng—Productivity Innovation in the Lighting Design Industry." AALD has been a key promoter of development in the lighting design field, playing a crucial role in connecting and leading the industry through initiatives such as integrating industry and education and implementing new technologies.
