Guangzhou International Light Festival 2013——Experts review bring down the curtain, unveil the winner

The expert evaluation conference of art works for Guangzhou International light Festival 2013 was held in Guangzhou and draw to a successful close on December 6th.The expert judge all the 40 creative lighting works one by one.

The 9 judging experts are Bing Shukui, vice-chairman of CIES, and Zhao Jianping, vice-president of China Academy of Building Research and Institute of built Environment and Energy Efficiency, and Wang Lixiong, Tianjin vice-president of Association of Lighting Industry, and Li Guobin, chief engineer of East China Architectural Design Institute, and Ren Tanwei, director of Guangzhou lighting construction management center, and Zhang Weijie, and Dujun, design director of Shanghai Forway Lighting Design and Engineering Co.,Ltd.More over, representatives of YGLS and Guangdong GCEL which is the Consultation Committee of the Light Festival.

Expert review meeting

The conference was held in the Meeting Room No.1 of Haixinsha at 6:00 pm. During the conference, experts red all the art works seriously and listened to the general introduction and then gave each art work a score. Observing each art work and also jointing in the work interacting, the experts were so committed that they got into a heated discussion.

Two hours later, experts has a workshop to confirm the result, and finally reached an agreement.

In the end, on behalf of the organizing committee of Guangzhou International Light Festival , Tanwei,general director of the Guangzhou Lighting Construction Management Center, awarded prizes to winner, which means the end of the evaluation of art works.

What’s more, concerning the urban lighting construction of Guangzhou, experts appreciated the work of Guangzhou Lighting Construction Management Center very much, and fully affirmed the leading position of Guangzhou urban lighting construction at home and abroad.

This session, experts and audience both joined in to judge the creative art work in order to ensured an open, fair, just and professional process. Public jury can vote through scanning QR code, internet, message, which takes up 40 percentage of the result .On the other hand ,expert review Score directly on site focusing on creativity, artistry, definition,
ecological environment, realizability , interactivity of the art work. And finally, only 15 finalists and 6 of them can be rewarded.The Winners will be unveiled on the Gala Dinner on Dec.14.

Tanwei, general director of Guangzhou Lighting Construction Management Center expresses that people always in the pursuit of culture and art in their life ,and this time,the Guangzhou International Light Festival offers a visual feast of art and culture.

Zhaojianping, vice-president of China Academy of Building Research and Institute of Building Environment and Energy Efficiency, says that the light festival with innovative technology, wisdom and the rationality and public interaction-oriented is full of wit and humor, and will be a trend of the lighting technology in the future.

Liguobin, chief engineer of East China Architectural Design Institute, mention that the aim of holding Light Festival is not just to show light ,is an occasion for people to celebrate and experience light. Guangzhou International light Festival make it.

Wang Lixiong, vice-president of Tianjin Lighting Industry Association, shows that the “rocket man”and “scroll painting of Pearl River”, give public a strong sense of science and technology shock and artistic appeal. The scroll painting of Pearl River which is designed by Night Rainbow Co.,Ltd., combines traditional aesthetic elements and modern fashion and technology together ,perfectly reflect the theme.
