The 146th AALD Salon was Successfully Held at Jiangnan University
Recently, the "Wuxi Lighting - Jiangnan University Industry-Academia-Research Exchange Promotion Association and the 146th Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD) Salon" was successfully held in Wuxi. AALD, together with Wuxi Lighting and Dongliang International Lighting Design Center, visited Jiangnan University to carry out a unique industry-academia-research exchange event. The purpose of this event was to promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research in the field of digital lighting and shadows, as well as to facilitate technological innovation and industrial upgrading.

On the morning of November 2nd, the "Wuxi Lighting - Jiangnan University Industry-Academia-Research Exchange Promotion Association and the 146th Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD) Salon (Wuxi Station)" was successfully held at Jiangnan University. Xu Dongliang, Executive Director of AALD and Principal Designer of Dongliang International Lighting Design Center, Ma Bin, Secretary-General of AALD, Huang Lei, Wuxi Coordinator of AALD and Deputy General Manager of Wuxi Lighting, Zhu Yuerong, Assistant Secretary-General of AALD, as well as experts and professors from the School of Digital Technology and Creative Design at Jiangnan University attended the meeting.

In the presence of witnesses, Wuxi Lighting and the School of Digital Technology and Creative Design at Jiangnan University signed a cooperation agreement for an industry-academia-research joint platform and jointly unveiled the "Digital Lighting and Shadow Research Center". The establishment of this center aims to promote innovation and development in the field of digital lighting and shadow technology between the two parties, jointly cultivate high-level talents, and facilitate industrial upgrading.

It's worth mentioning that Wang Xiao, an adjunct professor of Interior Design at Shandong University of Art & Design and the Technical Director/Mentor of the AIGC Lighting Design Workshop, delivered a keynote speech titled "AIGC Empowering the Design Industry" through a "digital human" avatar. He discussed how artificial intelligence offers new possibilities in the design and creation of light and shadow art, opening up a new "visual" world filled with diverse creativity for us.
